Shot blasting is an alternative to floor grinding, used to remove thin layers of screed and resin, smooth out rough floors and rough up (key) shiny smooth floors for a product to bond to the surface.

Shot blasters are ideal for steel decks but inappropriate for removing rubber surfaces such as play or gym areas.
