Description

The HTC 500 is the medium grinder in our range. This machine is single speed so can be used for grinding a wide range of surfaces, whether to smooth or rough for a key to enable product bond including concrete, screed, terrazzo, marble plus much more. This machine has a revolving 22” (55 cms) head fitted with 3 plates each with 3 diamond shoes spinning in the opposite direction to the main head for a flawless finish without swirl marks. It has easy to use controls and an adjustable handle for ease and comfort. It has a 50 mm dust outlet to connect directly onto a dust control unit.

Diamond shoes can be hired out on a wear charge basis. Please contact us for details. We ask that you do not use PCD or T-Rex substance removal shoes with this machine.

Requires a 415 v 3 phase, 32 amp 5 pin socket.

Rates quoted are for one week.
After a week a 25% daily charge is applied on days 8, 9 and 10 and then a full 2nd week’s hire charge is applied.

FAQs

Q – What applications is this machine designed to tackle?  A – Floor preparation from grinding uneven or rough concrete smooth, applying a key on too smooth concrete or screed to grinding down thin layers of epoxy floor paint.

Q – Which is the most suitable vacuum dust control unit for this floor grinder. A – We recommend the 110-v 3 motor dust control unit with either the bin system or Longopac system.

Q – What power supply does this floor grinder require? A – 3-phase, 32-amps, 415-v, 5 pin with the neutral connected, the white box on the wall with a red socket. In the absence of a supply, you will need to hire a 24 Kva generator or higher. Note, if you are wanting to power both the floor grinder and dust control unit from the generator, a 40 Kva set will be required.

Q – Which tool holders do I need? A – The default holders are the standard ‘knock on’ or EZ toll holders (floor grinding or PCDs).
